STEPN – A Web3 Health and Fitness App

STEPN is a Web3 lifestyle app with a mix of Social-Fi and Game-Fi elements in it. STEPN users equipped with NFT Sneakers – they can walk, jog or run outdoors to earn GST, which can be used to level up and mint new Sneakers or cash out for profit.

 

Players can also choose to lease or sell their NFT Sneakers on the in-app Marketplace. User’s GST earnings are stored in the in-app wallet  that has a built-in Swap function. 

 

Game Modes of STEPN 

 

Solo Mode –  Users are equipped with NFT Sneakers to earn tokens by moving. Energy is needed to earn Green Satoshi Tokens (GST). Every 1 Energy equals 5 minutes of move & earn. To begin, users need to select a sneaker of their choice and they start.

 

Marathon Mode – Users need to register under the Marathon Tab at least 24 hours prior to commencement. Two types of marathon such as Weekly Marathons and Monthly Marathons will be conducted.

 

Background Mode –   this mode will count the steps directly from the user’s mobile device from the Health Data application when the app is not actively used by the users. By holding a sneaker and making 3,000 steps daily users can still earn GST.

 

Move to Earn

Depending on 4 major factors GST/GMT will be paid out for every minute of movement 

• Type of Sneaker – Base GST returns for each sneaker differs based on sneaker attributes.
• Sneaker’s Efficiency Attribute – The higher the efficiency, the more GST earned per minute.
• Sneaker’s Comfort Attribute – The higher the comfort, the more GMT earned per minute.
• Speed of Movement – To maximise earnings, users should keep within the optimal speed range of their respective sneaker.

Sneaker Attributes

• Efficiency (GST Earning) – Higher Efficiency Attribute will result in higher GST earnings per Energy spent.
• Comfort (GMT Earning) – Higher Comfort Attribute will result in higher GMT earnings.
• Resilience (Durability/Repair) – Higher Resilience will result in a slower Durability decay.
• Luck (Mystery Box) – Luck determines the frequency and quality of a Mystery Box drop. Users are also able to receive Mystery Box drops while their Sneakers are leased out.

 

Gems and Sockets

Users are able to unlock Gem Sockets once their Sneakers reach a certain level, and are able to enhance their Sneaker Attributes by inserting the corresponding Gems into the unlocked Sockets

 

Shoe-Minting

Shoe-Minting Event (SME) is when users use 2 Sneakers they own as a blueprint to “breed”, producing a Shoebox in the process.

 

Badge 

Badges are earned by completing tasks. These badges offer in-game perks such as leaderboard point bonus, extra energy and low minting costs.

 

Earning

 

Daily Energy Cap

Users start the game with 2/2 Energy. Max Energy Caps at 20/20. Users can increase their Energy by getting more or higher quality Sneakers 

 

Daily Token Cap

Users start the game with a 5/5 Daily GST Cap. The Daily Token Cap maxes out at 300 GST and 15 GMT. Users can increase their Daily Token Cap by leveling up their Sneakers.

 

Energy System

Energy replenishes 25% every 6 hours until it reaches the Energy Cap. Users start with one Sneaker and 2 Energy Caps. Users can increase their max. Energy by holding more Sneakers.

 

Marketplace

The Marketplace is where users can rent/lease or sell/buy their NFT Sneakers, Badges, and Gems. 

 

 

 

Tokenomics

GST/GMT are the two major tokens used in the application

GST – In game token used for Shoe-Minting, Repair, Leveling up Sneakers, Gems upgrade and Unlocking Socket

GMT – Earning of GMT is only available to Sneakers that reach Level 30. Uses of GMT will be revealed in the next phase. 

GMT can be bought from famous exchanges such as Binance, Coinbase etc. This GMT can be swapped as a GST Token using the built-in Swap function of the application.

 

GMT token holds a huge $74,838,351 market cap. One GMT crypto is equivalent to $2.30 USD as per today.
