What is Star Atlas?

Star Atlas is a space-themed, multiplayer gaming metaverse based on the Solana blockchain. It allows players to “team up, organize, and fight their way into unknown territories. It’s a play 2 earn AAA/RPG game where players earn for their contribution in the game.

 

Gameplay

The entire game happens in the year 2620.  Three unique factions: MUD, Ustur and ONI exist in Star Atlas and the player selects one of the factions and starts playing it. 

 

• The MUD Territory – governed by humankind
• The ONI Region  – A consortium of alien races
• The Ustur Sector – Controlled by sentient androids.

 

These factions are in an ongoing struggle for resources, territorial conquest, and political domination. Player as a citizen of Star Atlas, will have the ability to influence the outcome of this intergalactic conflict and while contributing to these factions players earn reward for it.

 

Avatars – There is no customizable avatar in Star Atlas but users can pick up a pre-customized avatar. This avatar can be a robot, human or alien based on the role they picked.

 

Faction Security Zone

New players choose a faction and start in a faction-secured safe zone. This allows the player to explore all the basic functions of the game. 

 

Once the player is sufficiently confident enough to venture out, there is a medium tiered safety zone that is secured by mercenary groups. Combat is now allowed but your assets will be reset if destroyed.

 

The final distant zone of Star Atlas is a wild frontier where full combat and the destruction of several portions of  assets is a permanent event. 

 

Deep Space Exploration

Players can start exploration and can go anywhere in the Star Atlas universe. Players will pilot their ships manually to uncover all the hidden elements the universe has. For deep exploration users need special upgradable scanning modules with them. In exploration, players can find assets and many in-game usable items which can be either used or sold at marketplace.

 

Combat

Ships are outfitted with weapon turrets and missile bays. All players can mark their stance as aggressive or passive to signal their desired combat engagements. Here players can combat with their enemy ships and if they defeat them, players will earn rewards, occupy enemy territories and will gain advantage in the game.

 

Crew & Ship Component Outfitting

 

All ships have a professional role to do. These ships contain components and crew members that enhance the features and stats of each ship. Ships have native aptitudes for different gameplay features. Ships can be fitted with specific tiered components that enhance the ship’s functionality within those professional roles. 

 

Ship Roles: Transport, Rescue, Freight, Repair, Construction, Refueling, Miner, Salvage,Pirate, Smuggler.

 

Crew members play a pivotal role in handling the ship. Matching crew incorrectly can cause debuffs to

a ship’s performance.

 

Crew Members Role: Engineer, Repair, Scanner, Science, Gunner, Mercenary, Rescue, Power Manager, Janitor, Cargo Foreman, Hangar Foreman, Salvage Operator, Science Officer, Military Commander, Military General

 

Players can earn in game by having the correct ships, crew and components for their desired roles.

 

Browser Mini Game

A minimum viable product version of Star Atlas will be launched as a browser-based minigame. Players and collectors can play and purchase in-game assets

In-game assets can be utilized immediately in the minigame and these rewards or assets can also be used in the main game.

 

NFT Marketplace

Star Atlas has an NFT marketplace for the direct peer-to-peer exchange of in-game assets. All in-game items can be purchased/sold or traded in the marketplace.

 

DeFi Lending 

DeFi directly integrated into the game interface. Players can lend a variety of Solana/Serum assets to earn yield from it.

Star Atlas has two tokens that drive all game operations: POLIS and ATLAS.

POLIS is the governance token with a market cap of $14 million with current value of $0.04289

and ATLAS is the payment token with a market cap of $18 million and its current value is $0.005928.
