About – DeRace

DeRace is a play-to-earn NFT horse racing metaverse built on top of Ethereum.In DeRace, players can participate in horse races, breed NFT horses with unique characteristics, build their own NFT hippodrome and make profit while doing it. 

 

DeRace is a combination of 2 significantly growing multi-billion-dollar markets: video gaming, and horse racing, all merged by blockchain and NFT technologies.

 

The player can play as: Horse owner or Bookmaker 

Based on the role opted, DeRace offers both active and passive gameplay. The involvement and role opted would influence the profit earned.

 

• Horse owners can own, breed, and trade horses as well as compete in races
• Hippodromes/Bookmakers host races and compete against each other to attract participants.

NFT Horses

Horse in DeRace is a valuable asset that allows the players to participate in races and earn payouts. Each horse is unique with different traits (rarity, performance, cool-down time, and ultimately value). 

 

Every NFT horse has a set of characteristics: 

• Visible: sex, color, shape, breed, breeding and racing cool-down
• Hidden: speed and stamina (key factors of winning race)

 

Speed and stamina can be speculated from horse appearance, bloodline (parent genetics), and previous race statistics.

 

Horses can be bought in NFT marketplaces (in-game or third party) or created through breeding.

 

Horse Breeding

The player selects 2 NFT horses for breeding. One must be male, another female. Both these NFT horses are sent to GA (Genetic Algorithm) via Ethereum smart contract. GA generates a third NFT horse combining genes from parent horses, with +- 5% deviation. 

 

Marketplace

Players can buy both randomly generated or bred horses with a bloodline and race history. The horses (pre-purchased or bred) can be sold for a fixed price or via auction. Not only horses, other in-game assets can also be purchased/sold in the marketplace.

 

Horse Racing

Every horse owner can participate in a hippodrome race for a set fee. The hippodrome selects its participants by pre-set parameters. The winning horse collects % of all participant fees and additional prizes.

 

The races are based on RNG technology which means the winner of the race is random. The speed and stamina parameters play a role which may or may not  influence the win.

Hippodromes

All horse races take place in hippodromes. Players can own a part of the whole hippodrome but when a player holds more than 50% part of a hippodrome they are called administrators or bookmakers and have the rights to take control of that hippodrome.  

 

Bookmakers choose how and when to host the races in their hippodrome. The bookmaker controls the race entry fee and winner prize fund. 

• Hippodrome Levels – Levels will depend on races held, overall activity, etc

 

These levels will unlock different types of surfaces, number of horses allowed in a race, and also allow users to create different types of races with more horses. Hippodrome profits are paid to users according to their share of ownership

Tokenmics

DeRace Coin (DERC) is the token used in this metaverse. Current price of a DERC token is $0.3375 with a market cap of $19,220,388

DERC tokens have many utilities such as paying race fees,getting winning rewards,buy/sell horses, and to trade in-game items in the marketplace.
