What is Illuvium

Illuvium is a blockchain-based auto battler game built on top of Ethereum blockchain. In Illuvium, players explore a 3D open world to capture beasts called Illuvials. These Illuvials that players collect are represented as NFTs on Ethereum’s blockchain. It’s a P2E model where players use the captured Illuvials to battle other players and earn a token (ILV) in return.

It’s a role-playing game where players can customize their character and can explore the landscapes.

 

How to Play?

 

Start by customising the character. Then player selects Polymorphic Subordinate Drone. Once player and his sidekick are ready, they can then head out to explore the various regions of the world, and the mysteries that shattered it. As player adventure, they will encounter Illuvials that they can fight. If they subdue them,players use a Shard to snap them up so they are with them permanently.

 

There are many regions to explore, but most will be inaccessible to the first generation of players. Over time, players will unlock Obelisks which allow for travel to new beautiful, challenging, and important regions that come with new Illuvials to battle and collect, and shed more light on the enigma that happened here.

 

Explore Landscape: Players can explore 7 dazzling alien landscapes and uncover the cataclysmic events that rocked Illuvium. 

 

Capture Illuvials: Players can discover, hunt and capture over 100+ Illuvials, the deadly beasts who rule this alien world. Each of these illuvials possess hybrid synergies and unique abilities. Players can train and fuse their Illuvials and can get powerful evolutions. Once captured, Illuvials and other in-game items will exist in the player’s wallet as NFTs.

 

For some players, the draw of the game will be travelling across the world and collecting Illuvials. This can be incredibly lucrative, especially if a player manages to capture something rare and powerful. Illuvials will become harder to capture over time. As more and more are found, their capture rate will change, because it is fundamentally tied to the number that have been captured thus far.

Battle: Players can build a strong illuvial team and battle with other players and can earn handsome rewards in return.

Play 2 Earn

It’s a Play 2 Earn game, with 2 major ways to earn,

• • Earn while Playing – Earn crypto in ILV tokens as in-game rewards through playing, completing PVE quests, performing special achievements, and winning prizes in tournaments and events.

• Wager on Battles – Participate in and/or wager on matches in the Leviathan Arena, a PVP Battle Arena where players can battle each other and earn lucrative rewards.

 

Illuvial classes

Four classes of Illuvials exists that are 

1. Fighter
2. Rogue
3. Psion
4. Empath

Along with classes these illuvials have different affinities 

1. Water
2. Fire
3. Earth
4. Air
5. Nature

Different combinations of classes and affinities can produce different types of illuvials. These combinations of classes and affinities are hugely important when battling. Combat experience makes Illuvials grow stronger, increase their powers and level up.

 

Illuvium Fusion

More powerful Illuvials are better in combat and worth more ILV. Fusing of Illuvials make them more powerful. Players can collect three fully-leveled Illuvials and can fuse them into a single highly powerful Illuvial.

 

Arenas

Players with Illuvials can enter the arena to battle other players, they can enter a matchmaking queue or even call out individual players to a battle. Spectators can bet on every match that happens in the Arena and can earn ILV from it.

 

Weapons & Armours

Along with Illuvials, weapons and armor have to be chosen as per player’s choice but this can affect the outcome of a battle. 

 

Illuvium is an auto-battler game which means that both players must choose their Illuvials, weapons and armor before the match. Players don’t have any manual control in the game. 

 

What’s so interesting in Illuvium?

Those looking to make money playing Illuvium will likely need to focus on finding matching Illuvials, training them to their highest level, fusing them, and then selling them for higher values.

 

Just being a spectator, players can bet on every match that happens in the Arena and can earn ILV from it.

 

IlluviDex Marketplace

Players can sell and trade captured Illuvials, farmed materials and other NFT items on the IlluviDEX, Illuvium’s NFT marketplace. 

 

 

Tokenomics

ILV is the token used in this metaverse which has a max supply of 10,000,000 tokens. Current value of 1 ILV is equivalent to $525.45 USD with a marketcap of $340,580,705. 

 

Staking on Illuvium

Holders of the ILV token can stake it in order to earn rewards from the network. In-game revenues are given to ILV token holders as rewards.But ILV is subject to a 12-month lock-up period for staking.
